Complete E (Full Spectrum Natural Vitamin E) x 30 softgels
Vitamin E is one of the body's most important fat-soluble vitamins. It has powerful antioxidant properties, meaning it prevents and reverses damage done to the cell by oxygen radicals. Most of the nutritional and scientific community still assume that vitamin E is synonymous with tocopherol only. In reality, vitamin E consists of EIGHT chemically distinct natural compounds:
• Four belong to the family of tocopherols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta)
• Four belong to the family of tocotrienols (alpha, beta, gamma and delta)
In food and food supplements, mainly alpha-tocopherol is added as an anti-oxidant. However, recent discoveries show the other three tocopherols are also very important for human health as well. In addition, the tocotrienols have also gained significant attention among scientists in the past few years. The unique health benefits of tocotrienols are not associated with the regular tocopherol Vitamin E. Moreover, tocopherols and tocotrienols have a synergestic effect, which makes sense to take all eight of them.
In short, taking just one type of Vitamin E is not enough.
The most important function of vitamin E is, to support the body in it's battle against oxidative damage to cells. Radiation pollution has exploded over the past fifty years, meaning we need more antioxidant protection now than our parents and grandparents did. The body needs extra support.
Allowed health claims for vitamin E are:
• Contributes to the protection of cells against oxidative damage
• Supports the (natural) defence system of the body cells
• Helps to protect against the influences of sunlight and pollution
Vitamin E is usually not absorbed well. Taking vitamin E capsules with a fatty meal improves the absorption, but only slightly. The manufacturer of the tocotrienols in Complete E managed to develop a unique and patented 'self-emulsifying delivery system'.
This system is a mixture of oil and FDA-approved food emulsifiers at optimum ratio that will self-emulsify in the gastrointestinal tract. In other words, the Vitamin E disperses into tiny droplets, which is a critical action for optimal absorption of tocotrienols. Research with human volunteers has shown, the system increases the absorption of each individual tocotrienol (alpha-, beta-, gamma- and delta-tocotrienol) by an average of 250%!
In other words: Forget any other Vitamin E being sold on the market. You are just wasting your money.
Tocopherols are also better absorbed if mixed with tocotrienols in one capsule. Even better, the self emulsifying delivery system works for all fat-soluble ingredients. Thus, Integrow Health's Complete E may rightly be called a 'Bio-enhanced Vitamin E Complex'.
